Paul tells us the greatest truth that lasts is Love.  He says, Love, it never fails.  When God is describing Himself in scripture, it says God is Love.  It's vital that we understand that God places great importance on Love.  Do we understand it or do we just throw the word around and attach it to everything?  When we say Love, we should understand the importance of using this word and what it means.

Big Questions
April 2015 - May 2015

I have struggled some with the scripture "Count it all joy when you’re going through various trials." The key to doing this is not that we rejoice in our trials or struggles but that in our trials and struggles we can rejoice in the Lord. So instead of being filled with despair, you have to make a choice to have an attitude of joy. Set your mind and thoughts on the Lord, and in return, you will find joy.

April 2015

There are times in life that you feel like giving up and throwing in the towel. God is telling me not to stop and not to throw in the towel. I know all of us have times in our life when we are really hit hard.  My advice is don't stop. One day this will all end and you will be stronger for going through it.

Balance, A Study of Psalms 23
March 2015

Have you ever felt burned out? You just don't feel like you can go on.  You have been burning the candle at both ends. We have all been there at one point of our life. I know I have.  All of us need balance in our life. We need to understand that the only way you will ever have balance is to have God at the center of your life. He alone gives you balance. If your life is out of balance, this is a great time to bring it back under control.

Jonah, Running from God
February 2015

Sometimes God tells us to do something we just don't want to do. We feel uncomfortable with it or we just don't want to do it. So, we run away from what God has told us to do many times. Jonah is a prime example of this, of running away from God, because he didn't want to do what God told him to do. However, God tells us not to be afraid because He is with us and He goes on to say fear is a lack of faith in God. So instead of running away from God, we should run to Him and embrace what He has told us to do.

If Then
January 2015

We love to be in control; we see surrender as a sign of extreme weakness. The truth is unless we learn how to experience true surrender, we will never get to spend eternity with the one who demands it. You have to totally surrender.  Give up control.  This is where we struggle. We want God’s response without having to do our part. It does not work this way in life and it will not work that way with God.

The Furnace
December 2014

Have you ever been too close to a furnace before? They produce a lot of heat.  If you get too close, it can burn you. Here is the reality; all of us if life go through the furnace of life. We are either just going into one, or in the middle of one, or just coming out of it. The end result, even though it’s painful, will make you a better Christian for having gone through it and you can testify about God's deliverance. Yes, you can count it all joy because you found peace in the fire because Jesus was with you!

Grace is Greater Than:
November 2014

I think it is vital that we study His Grace with a fresh pair of eyes. We have all messed up; made some serious mistakes which are not just mistakes but are actually sins. We will find that God's Grace is greater than our sins. God's Grace really does cover a multitude of sins. Who is this Grace for? It is for all who will come to Jesus and get connected to the blood of Jesus through Baptism. It's for God’s children and Grace is such an amazing gift.

October 2014
So where has that spark gone in your life, not only in your personal life, but in the life of the Church? It's vital that we rekindle that spark in your life and the life of the Church before it’s too late. I believe that the Church is no longer the wildfire but more like the family fire pit. I will be sharing how we can rekindle the fire and return to being the wildfire that God wants His Church to become and find out how!
The God of Yes!
September 2014

Those that view God as the God of “No” think that God has come to steal our fun and doesn’t want us to be happy, to enjoy life.  This is the complete opposite of the God we find in the Bible.  He is actually the God of “Yes!”  God wants to say “Yes” to us and will when we are obedient to him.

Fake ID: Reclaiming Your Identity in Christ
August 2014

If you were asked the question who are you, how would you respond?  The correct answer is you are a Christian first; you are made in the image of Jesus Christ.  We need to reclaim our identity in Christ.  When you know your identity is in Christ, it changes the way you live your life every day.

The Counselor
July 2014

Jesus is the greatest counselor ever. Over 100 times in the gospels, Jesus asked his disciples questions. We will be looking at four questions for the next four weeks that our great Counselor asked us. Why are you so afraid? Do you believe I can do this? Do you really want to be well? Why do you doubt? I hope you come and find the answers that only our great Counselor can provide.

Courageous Choices!
May 2014 - June 2014

Life requires us to take courageous choices.   Life is filled with Swift Transistions as the gospel song goes.   Are you ready to make the transistion to a Christian life?

It's Not To Late
April 2014 - May 2014

How many times have you said, it's too late to change or to work on something?  The truth is there will come a time when it is to late, but that's when you’re dead!  So as long as you still have breath, it’s not too late to change.

January 2014 - March 2014

When God’s people, the church, sets it mind to it great things can happen.  We, the church, need to be bold in proclaiming God to a lost and dying world.
